Today we watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory for the fist time with Deville and Luca...
This movie is a big deal for me. I remember lying on my stomach as a child on my grandparents floor watching this movie once a year when it came on network. I loved it so much I walked down the aisle at our wedding to the theme song.
While we were watching Luca told me he wanted to go to the candy store in the movie
Luca " I want to go there mommy."
Me " I have been trying to go there for about 35 years!
Luca " I will take you there Mommy..but you will just have to drive because I cant."
It seemed fair

I've been wanting a viewing of this for Riles...did you ff the scary part or let it ride?
Believe it or not they get lost on the parts prior to the factory...The scary part doesnt faze them...but dont let grandpa Joe sing...Scary
Sadie has been watching both the old version and the Tim Burton version since she was about 1 1/2-2yrs old.
She prefers the Tim Burton version more which blows my mind! Gene Wilder IS Willy Wonka. Seriously.
